In a collateral meeting with the Israeli foreign minister Livni, at the NATO conference in Brussels, minister Franco Frattini confirmed that Italian delegation will not take part in the Durban Renew Conference, due to "aggressive and anti-semitic" sentences contained in the final declaration draft. Our foreign minister's decision follows USA and the Netherlands, setting a precedent for Denmark, France, Canada and Belgium. Minister Frattini has asserted that his decision will be reversed if the text of the document is changed.
